What Were Our Top Super Bowl Commercials of 2024?

What Were Our Top Super Bowl Commercials?

No matter what your favorite part of Super Bowl Sunday is (the game, the half-time show, the queso dip, & etc), we can all agree there are some great commercials during the broadcast. Many companies go for a celebrity spokesperson with a funny tagline, while others take you through a story pulling on your heartstrings. No matter what take they went with, all these groups wanted to get you talking about their brand.

The minute we were back at the office, we had to chat up our favorite takes from commercials we saw during this year’s game. We broke down which ones were our top clips and had us laughing, tearing up, or hyped for their product or service.

Mia’s Favorite: BMW USA | Christopher Walken in “Talkin Like Walken” (ft. Usher)

A day in the life where Walken’s the star, and the BMW’s just along for the ride. It turns into a bit of a nightmare, where everyone he meets tries to imitate his iconic movie lines. It’s like his own personal version of hell. And to add to top it off, there’s a surprise appearance by Usher, hinting at some playful rivalry between the two. It’s a quirky and entertaining take on the whole celebrity thing, you know? Some people can do things and get away with it.

Kaitlyn’s Favorite: Michael CeraVe – SB 2024

This commercial had some clever pre-Super Bowl promo to drum up interest. Michael Cera was spotted on the streets of New York City carrying bags FULL of CeraVe products, leaving people speculating if it was a weird coincidence or publicity stunt. The ad delivered the perfect blend of awkward and funny—the epitome of Michael Cera’s humor!

Evin’s Favorite: Javier in Frame | Google Pixel SB Commercial 2024

Google Pixel’s commercial left me in tears while eating pizza last Sunday. It tells the story of Javier, an individual with low vision, as he takes selfies throughout life. Thanks to the Pixel 8’s Guided Framing, Javier can easily include himself, his dog, his partner, and their newborn in selfies. This commercial proves how crucial accessibility across technology is.

Tabytha’s Favorite: MTN DEW | Aubrey Plaza Having a Blast Super Bowl Ad

You can’t go wrong with a Parks and Rec throwback, and you definitely can’t go wrong with a commercial with Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman, and dragons. Aubrey’s typical deadpan humor worked perfectly with the “having a blast” tagline. Baja Blast is cool too, I guess.

Trever’s Fav: Dunkin’ ‘The DunKings’ ft Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Tom Brady, Jack Harlow, Jennifer Lopez, & Fat Joe

I’m a big fan of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, so I thought the throwback to Good Will Hunting with Damon saying “How do you like them … donuts” was awesome. I also just like how Ben Affleck has become the poster boy of Dunkin’ Donuts every year. I love the Boston accent so that was a plus throughout the commercial. 9/10.

Maya’s Favorite: Kawasaki 2024 Big Game Ad “Mullets” Full Spot

Bark bark bark. Woof, bark.
Translation: “I really wanted to ride in the new Kawasaki with my head out the window. And I want a mullet, so sold.”

These were only some of the quality content we saw during the big game. Let us know if you agree with our choices or if you had a different commercial from this year that you liked!
