U-Stor is a self-storage company with seven convenient locations in Wichita, Kansas. U-Stor offers a variety of storage unit sizes so customers only pay for the space they need. Climate controlled units are also available to protect sensitive items from extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
In 2015, Lee Media Group was asked to completely revamp the outdated look of U-Stor’s website. Our goal was to create an eye-catching, easy-to-use site that would make the entire online process of renting a storage unit as easy as possible. Over the next few years, we also took over social media management and online advertising campaigns through Google AdWords.
When U-Stor first came to us, they had a website that was perfectly functional but lacked visual appeal and organization. Our biggest goal was to create a site that was visually appealing and captured attention. When you land on the page you are greeted with information about the currently monthly special. The site was made to be as informative and easy to use as possible. Customers no longer have to struggle to find the information they need.
The site not only looks great but offers important functionality. As soon as customers reach the homepage, they are just one click away from reserving a storage unit or paying their monthly rent. The homepage also contains an interactive map of all locations, basic information about U-Stor, and reviews.
We know a website must work well on all browsers and mobile devices. More than 50% of site views come from some sort of mobile device. We build all of our sites to be mobile responsive so our clients can be competitive, but also to meet Google’s responsive requirements and avoid a downgrade in search rank. The U-Stor Wichita site is now accessible on all devices including desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Our websites work on any device and we make them look great, no matter how visitors are viewing them.
We also wants to ensure that each location was highlighted in some way. We built personalized “profile” pages for each location that includes contact details, pricing, specials, photos, and manager information. Potential customers can easily browse the site for locations near them and learn more about pricing and available space.
Some of our projects for U-Stor beyond web development include: customer feedback cards, on-site photography at each location, design and facilitation of a monthly newsletter, ongoing search engine optimization (SEO), social media posting and online advertising management that includes ad campaigns for both Google and Facebook.
