Kustom Karriers is a premier leader in the transportation and warehousing industries that is based in Newton, Kansas. They came to us recently because they had never had a real website or a marketing plan for their business, and they were ready for a change. They primarily needed assistance recruiting new drivers, but also wanted to start promoting their services.
Our plan for Kustom Karriers including a new, responsive WordPress website, newly design collateral materials, photography and drone videography. We have also assisted with the process of recruiting new employees and increasing their local presence in Newton through Chamber events.
We continue to support Kustom Karriers by providing ongoing website and email support and maintenance and marketing assistance as needed.
We began the design process for the new website by researching trends in the transportation industry. With a solid idea of what the competition is up to, we created a responsive design for the website that is functional, easy to navigate, visually appealing and takes advantage of the photography and videos we helped them capture.
The website is built on the WordPress framework, and includes a custom theme, an online job application, a request a quote form, news and basic information about the services Kustom Karriers provides.
Our copywriter did keyword research and followed SEO best practices to create all content for the website to ensure that they come up at the top of search results for things like transportation and warehousing.
In addition to creating an online application workflow that simplifies the process of recruiting new drivers for Kustom Karriers, our account coordinator has also worked closely with them to create and promote job listings on several third party websites, including Indeed and Craigslist. Our recruiting efforts have not only helped them hire several new drivers over the past year, but have also exceed their initial targets.
We have helped with their marketing efforts offline as well by designing several collateral pieces including flyers, brochures, pop-up banners, table covers and tear-away cards. We also helped them plan and host their first mixer for the Newton Chamber of Commerce in spring of 2018.
Before we could start designing the website, we needed a library of high resolution images and videos we could utilize for online marketing as well as print materials. In addition to organizing a photo shoot for photos of their staff, trucks and warehouse, we also scheduled a drone video session which allowed us to capture overhead views of their facility as well as a quick tour of their warehouse. The end result was used to create eye-catching hero sections on several of their website landing pages.
