The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa delivers quality programming to the Girl Scouts and needed a place to showcase upcoming events and provide an online resource for members, troops, and families to connect with verified partners that provide programming.
Our final product, The Hub, is a custom event calendar that provides a full listing of community events, partner programs, and community service opportunities hosted by The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa’s community program partners. It allows for custom filtering and makes it easy for partners and staff to add and manage upcoming events.

The Challenge
The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa came to us with an idea for a website that would showcase upcoming events and connect members, troops, and families with verified partners that provide programming. In addition to an event calendar, they were looking for some special functionality:
- Ability for program partners to log in to create and manage events
- Custom filtering to make it easy to find events by level, age, or category
- Interactive map to display events since they represent cities all around Iowa
