We have worked with the Patterson Legal Group law firm in Wichita, Kansas for many years helping them with a variety of web and marketing projects. Some of our recent projects include a custom Intranet built on WordPress that allows their staff to easily communicate and share internal information. We also helped them put together an interactive provider map that makes it easy for their clients to find health providers near them to help treat their injuries.

Custom Staff Portal
The Patterson team didn’t have any sort of internal system in place when we started this project, so we worked with them to create a plan and built their new system from scratch. Their customized Intranet has several features that are catered to their specific needs, including:
- Dedicated department pages managed by directors.
- Custom calendar that tracks milestones like birthdays, work anniversaries, holidays, and custom-added events.
- Announcements that highlighted on the front page.
- A dashboard to track monthly statistics like number of intakes and cases signed.
- Quick links to commonly used third-party systems.
- A team directory to easily find contact information.
- A ticket system that makes it easy for staff to create and track support tickets and requests.
- PLG University, a directory of training materials.
Interactive Provider Map
Patterson was already maintaining a list of providers in a spreadsheet to share with clients in need of medical care, but they were looking for something that would be easily searchable and user friendly. Highlights of our solution include:
- WordPress backend to make it easy for staff to maintain the provider directory.
- Ability to search by address, distance, service, or keyword in addition to including filters for providers that require referrals or that accept Letters of Protection.
- Integration with GeoNames and OpenStreetMap APIs for accurate search results by address or zip code.
- Fully interactive map that shows all providers in the Kansas/Missouri areas.
- Automated suggestions for similar providers for searches with few or no results.
