Lee Media Group Wins Two 2025 AMA Marketing Awards!
“It’s pretty impressive when one agency can turn out award-winning work for a variety of clients.” – AMA Wichita
A double win! Our team was honored to take home BOTH awards available in the AMA Wichita Marketing Awards 2025 for Best Pivot in the Corporate and Non-profit categories. The Best Pivot award recognizes marketing efforts that demonstrate successful adaptation or change in strategy due to unforeseen challenges or opportunities.
Our work for Wichita Marriott and long-time Lee Media Group client, Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC), was chosen by judges from AMA chapters in Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa, and beyond. Check out how we did it this time!
Best Pivot: Corporation – Wichita Marriott Best of Wichita Campaign
Our marketing team was tasked with a new challenge: winning Best of Wichita for a client who had never entered. We had already reactivated Wichita Marriott’s dormant social media and online reputation platforms. But winning Best of Wichita was a new challenge…and we rose to the occasion!
How’d We Do It?
- Employee outreach for daily votes
- User-focused web experience with simplified voting on a landing page
- Multi-platform activation strategy on social media
The results? Outperforming 26 other competitors to win Best Hotel in Wichita 2024! Even better, our revival of Wichita Marriott’s social media resulted in a 180% spike in social engagement and a 25% increase in business. See more about our work with Wichita Marriott!
Best Pivot: Non-profit – Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) Brand Refresh
ILRC provides resources to individuals with disabilities to stay independent. Established in 1984, the non-profit’s branding had become outdated with unclear messaging, a confusing name, and an unwelcoming logo. Their Greater Expectations program was disjointed, with a separate website and logo. Rather than fixing things piece by piece, our team went all in with a full brand overhaul!
How’d We Do It?
- Logo design and simplified branding for ILRC and its Greater Expectations program
- New website design that unified the disjointed websites
- Updated printed materials (in English and Spanish)
The result? The brand now clearly reflects its mission and services. Classes have increased due to the more user-friendly website that features ADA-compliant upgrades, and donations have doubled for ILRC’s Medical Equipment Recycling Network (MERN). See more about our branding services for ILRC!
