To get started, send:
- Follow [username] to 40404 and you will start receiving tweets from that user on your device.
- Example: sending follow Twitter to 40404 on my phone would mean I’d start getting SMS updates whenever Twitter posted a Tweet.
This article from Twitter help center explains how to signup for @mention or reply notifications. If you want to get notifications on your phone when someone else tweets, while signed into Twitter you can click the mobile updates button by their username.
