Ideas for promoting the event on  your social media channels:

  1. Pre-Exposure: Consider creating Events and inviting contacts to respond on Facebook and LinkedIn.  This can let your supporters show their friends and connections they are planning to attend.  Also consider the free event management tool, Eventbrite.
  2. During-Exposure:  Consider live updates from Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn that provide:
    1. A fun, “behind-the-scenes” look at booth setup
    2. A Twitter Hashtag to use and follow about a contest you are having
    3. A product demonstration in the booth
    4. Video blogs reporting on key announcements, presentations and events during the course of the show
    5. Interviews with customers and prospects
    6. Guest spots from editors or other industry experts
    7. “Live” drawings for products and prizes

At the event, encourage each visitor to follow you online and watch for free giveaways during the exhibition. Announce giveaways, product information and special offers to drive traffic back to the booth.

Before and during Exposure, watch for keywords on Twitter and Facebook so that you can join in on the conversation about Exposure.
