If you are an Admin of a Page with less than 5,000 likes, you can import your email lists and Facebook will send an invitation those people asking them to Like your Page.

  1. Invite your Mailchimp (or Constant Contact or VerticalResponse) email subscribers to Like your Facebook Page. Let’s say you have a list of clients that receive a newsletter from you. You can download a CSV from your MailChimp list and import that to Facebook, which will send an invitation with a link to your Facebook Page. This is is done from the Build Audience menu from your Facebook Page.

  1. I have a new Facebook page (Faro Designs) and I’d like to invite the 600 e-mail addresses that I have on my Constant Contact list to like Faro Designs. I’ve exported the list in a CSV format but I can’t figure how how to get FB to send an invitation to the 600 e-mails. Can you provide any direction on this?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Ken

From Facebook, choose Use Facebook as your Page, and then go to the Build Audience menu at the top. There should be a drop down for Invite Email Contacts. Constant Contact is listed, and if you choose that option it will explain how to export your emails from Constant Contact (which you have already done) and then show a button to choose the file from your computer, and then click Upload Contacts.

      1. I have followed the correct actions to upload the csv file with the emails and it goes through all the process but they never get the email. I have seen in other post that other people have the same problem Do you have any news on this ? Am I doing anything wrong? I have send an email to facebook but they say they won´t reply to all the emails and I have been stuck for a few months unable to send invitatios.

  2. When ever I posted an update, my facebook account name appears instead of the admin name.
    How can I fixed this?

    1. You can switch between using Facebook as your page and as yourself by clicking on the little “cog” icon in the top right corner of Facebook (is it the furthest image on the right). When you click on that, there will be a dropdown that says “Use Facebook As” at the very top and then lists your page(s) or your actual profile (if you’re currently using Facebook as a page) – click on the one you want, and all comments / likes will be shown as the one you choose.

  3. Hi Sir

    1. When you are logged in and you go to your page, you should have an “Admin Panel” at the very top that has a menu on the right side that says “Edit Page”, “Build Audience”, and “Help”. If you click on “Build Audience,” “Invite Email Contacts” is the very first link. Click on that to get started.

      1. This information (which is the same as the Facebook instructions) does NOT work. There are multiple threads in various forums about this!
Facebook won’t upload csv (vCards) to a Business page, or if you can finally do it, it’s not possible to bulk email a group of people. You must email each person individually (as a poster here has suggested), a crazy situation!
Something is clearly broken (at Facebook) that is preventing people with Business pages from importing contacts…..?
I’d like to hear from anyone who has managed to import vCards recently and send a group email to alert clients to their Facebook page?
        Thanks
